Per-Kilometer Rate
Quick Answer
The per-kilometer rate is the cost per kilometer used to calculate highway tolls, varying by vehicle class and route type.
Detailed Explanation
In closed systems, the concessionaire applies a unit tariff to tariff kilometres and vehicle class, then rounds the result under the toll-system rules. From 1 January 2026, Autostrade per l'Italia publishes VAT-inclusive Class A rates of β¬0.07869/km on flat sections and β¬0.09315/km on mountain sections. Other concessionaires and open systems may use different tariffs. Our result is an estimate, not a booth quote.
