How our toll estimates work

A limited set of city-to-city routes uses a Class A amount read from the linked UnipolMove route calculator on 10 July 2026. Each qualifying route stores its source URL and check date. These are external comparison references, not official station-to-station quotes.

Only the Class A amount has that source check. Prices displayed for Classes B, 3, 4 and 5 remain estimates unless a page explicitly links a published operator tariff for that class.

Other results multiply the modelled tolled distance by a per-kilometre tariff for the selected class. The published 2026 Autostrade per l’Italia table is used on its network. Where a current operator table is not stored, the result is labelled as a benchmark estimate.

A modelled distance may not include the same ramps, connectors or chargeable reference kilometres used by the concessionaire. That difference can change the booth price.

Published customer tariffs are treated as VAT-inclusive; VAT is not added a second time. Two-axle vehicles are separated into Class A or B by height at the front axle, while Classes 3, 4 and 5 depend on axle count.

Distance estimates are rounded to the nearest €0.10 using the published five-cent threshold. A source-checked Class A reference is shown at the value provided by its source.

Italy has multiple concessionaires, flat and mountain tariffs, closed ticket systems, open or fixed-price barriers, and routes that cross more than one operator. The current route model does not resolve every one of those cases segment by segment.

Always confirm the entry station, exit station, vehicle class and current price with the responsible concessionaire when the exact amount matters. The amount displayed at the toll point is authoritative.
